At the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, we are dedicated to developing physicians who will effectively work in the current and future health systems. We strive to train physicians who become agents of change and actively transform systems to provide the best possible care to their patients. We accomplish our goals by immersing residents in environments that foster and provide high-quality patient-centered care. This is intertwined with an innovative curriculum, strong mentorship programs, involvement of residents in research as early as their internship year, and the design of individualized educational experiences to correspond to the career objectives of each resident. We remain committed to our residents and continually responsive to their professional needs and career goals.
